Pt. Kailash Pawar sitar maestro, classical vocalist teaching us Hindustani Classical Music. He is a sea of knowledge & experience in the field of classical music. Born on 6th May 1944 at Jodhpur, he got his training from his father, Pt. Pusha Lal Pawar, a master vocalist & tabla player. Under the expert guidance of his father, he attained great heights in vocal music, tabla and sitar in the very teenage and thus carried the lineal torch of music a step ahead. With great effort and dedication Shri Pawar has developed the skills of the kinds of his own. His distinguished presentation of Gamak, Layakari, Meend, Taiyari add colours to the mehfils. His skillful Gayaki style in playing sitar is the highlight of musical feast. He is the pioneer inventor of chords system in Sitar play, which is now being used in Hindustani music also. His compositions for several, dance ballets, dramas and dances are well commanded all over INDIA. He has worked with All India Radio (A.I.R) as a music composer for several years. He has vast experience of working in Hindi Film Industry with famous composers as, Shanker Jai Kishen, Jai dev, S. D. Burman, Madan Mohan, O. P. Nayyer, Salil Chaudhary, Lata Mangeshker & was rated as one of the best musician. Now his son Ravi Pawar is a well known music director, famous for his works with Daler Mehndi & Sonu Nigam. |
