About My self The best I can describe myself is as a soul with music as the life in it. A keen listener from the early childhood days, music was, is and will always remain a close friend with whom & through which I can express myself & my feelings, my thoughts. Learning music from every personality, whom I meet in this field, I am waiting positively for my turn. Since, the music field, specially Punjabi music scene is currently experiencing a high tide of numerous artists, the real deserving candidates get lost in the storm, which really matters me & my other serious fellow artists. I am ready with my songs with real lyrics, which would surely touch some deep chord of your soul if they are awarded with only a brief listening. And all the notes in my songs are just waiting to see the limelight. Education Senior Secondary Examination from Delhi Board, Commerce Stream in 1990. Graduation from S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, North Campus, Delhi University in B. Com (Hons.) in 1993. M.A in Punjabi from Delhi University, North Campus in 1995. B.Ed from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak in 1996. Professional Qualifications Diploma in Computer Graphics & Digital Arts. Diploma in Commercial Arts with specialisation in logo and concept designing. Being trained in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music by Pt. Kailsh Pawar, (father of famous music director Ravi Pawar) from last three years. Assignments & Experience Giving stage performances regularly since College days mainly in punjabi music. Was associated & participated in Daler Mehndi Group in the early phase of his career. Assisted Pt. Kailash Pawar in composing and studio recordings of many musical & devotional projects. First release in June 2002, is an instrumental album " Soft & Tender " which has ten hindi film songs played on piano with keyboard arrangements. Released By Nupur Audio, this album was conceived only to prove myself & my music and to my surprise it got released first before my main vocal project by the grace of the almighty. An One man project from start to finish & the inlay cards are also designed by myself. Second release in June 2003, is a sequel to the first release & is called, “Real Soft”, consisting 8 hit numbers played on piano. Released under the same banner, Nupur Audio, its promo has also been shot & aired at prominent T.V. channels, like ETC Punjabi, ITV and others. Working on my Punjabi album project with 8 -10 songs with soulful lyrics & catchy music, eager to be presented before the masses. Interests & Fields I Love Being a rhythmic personality I enjoyed participating in College Bhangra Team both as a dancer & singer for four consecutive years & won several prizes all over India. Language I enjoy the most is Punjabi & Urdu. I love writing for my own composition with a natural ease. I love Urdu poetry & have a collection of my own Ghazals & Nazms. I love graphic designing and oil painting & have done projects of famous personalities like punjabi pop singer Ashok Mastie and Nupur Audio. The inaly cards of both my albums are self designed. Deeply influenced by the Great Zen Master OSHO, I am a regular reader of great master's literature as his vision has helped me & my music to grow a lot. |
